Living in the Southern Hemisphere, we don't get to appreciate some of the more traditional Christmas festivities that come with living in the Northern Hemisphere.
It is unknown when this celebration first started, but it seems likely that it was introduced by those missing the traditional Christmas cheer, roast dinners and family gatherings around the fire.
